Home & Away: Tacoma

It just so happens, Tacoma counts as both home and away. As I've said before and I'll say again and again until I move back to the west side of the state, my poor little heart is split in half when it comes to Spokane vs. Tacoma. I've got one chamber assigned to the west and one assigned to the east. So here are a few of my favorite things from Tacoma...

Sully and berries. Both live in Mom's pasture. One is a bit curmudgeonly, the other is delicious.

Bones and bottles. (Also in the pasture.) Our property was a logging camp back in the day, so there are crazy junk treasures to be found every summer once the pond dries up. You know how we Nicolai girls like to dig.

Spidies! One inside Catherine's house (note the gilt-edged JFK & Jackie memorial plate) and one hanging by the blackberry brambles. Spiders are here, there, and everywhere in Tacoma.

Quite backyard with grass and trees. Is there anything better than chilling in nature with some knitting? Nothing comes to mind at the moment. And there seems to be no better place than Mom's to get your knit on in the backyard.
